Aqueous-Poiesis is a speculative architectural research project that rethinks water as an active spatial agent rather than a passive resource. Developed through the concept of sympoiesis, the project combines precedent studies, atlas drawings, models, temporal sections, and speculative narrative to explore how architecture might be produced with and through water. Using Yenikapı in Istanbul as its site, the project proposes a fictional “New Yenikapı” in which reclaimed ground collapses after an earthquake and a new landscape emerges through resurfacing water, shifting topographies, thermal steam, ecological regeneration, and new multi-species forms of inhabitation.
